PTA COLOR RUN!!

Freedom PTA is excited to announce the return of the Freedom COLOR RUN!

\r\n

Time: 
Wristband Pickup for Registered Adult Runners: 10:30am in front of the school's main entrance at the PTA table.

\r\n

Run starts at 12:00pm
Each grade will run their laps separately starting with Pre-K and go in ascending order, ending with 5th grade.

\r\n

Cost: 
Freedom Students: FREE
Because of the tremendous generosity of our Freedom families and community members during the Fun Run at the beginning of the school year, we are able to sponsor all of our Freedom Eagles and the color run is completely free to them.

\r\n

Parents: $6.00
You may run with your student(s) during their assigned run time(s). This is a one-time fee. You DO NOT have to pay multiple times if you have multiple students. You may register online with a debit/credit card at bit.ly/freedomptastore starting April 1.

\r\n

LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS APRIL 29th.

\r\n

Siblings 4 years old and younger: FREE (must be accompanied by a paid parent)

\r\n

Bystanders:
Non-registered runners and non-volunteers must stay within the designated bystander area.

\r\n

Students who are not currently running will be sitting outside under the awning with their teacher cheering on their schoolmates as they run.

\r\n

Attire:
All runners should wear a WHITE shirt in order to get the best effect from the colored powder. Students may wear swimsuits underneath their clothes since they will be sprayed down by the Fort Sill Fire Department after the run. Runners are encouraged to wear sunglasses and a bandana/mask to cover their eyes and mouth. All runners should wear appropriate running shoes.

A very limited amount of Freedom Elementary Color Run shirts will be available for purchase for $6.00 ONLINE ONLY starting April 1st. These are limited to sizes:

YOUTH XS
YOUTH SMALL
YOUTH MEDIUM

\r\n

These shirts are an overstock from the last Color Run and are being sold at a discounted rate. We will not be ordering more. Students are not required to wear a Freedom Color Run shirt; any white shirt is fine. Freedom Color Run shirts will be delivered to your student's classroom within 1-5 business days after your purchase.

\r\n

Track:
The Color Run will take place in the lower parking lot, directly in front of the school. There will be 6 different color stations placed around the track.

\r\n

Each lap around the parking lot is a 1/4 mile. Bystanders will be directed to the center of the track.

\r\n

Laps:
Pre-K & Kindergarten: 1 lap
1st & 2nd Grade: 2 laps
3rd & 4th Grade: 3 laps
5th Grade: 4 laps

\r\n

Color Powder:
The powder is non-toxic, however, just as the color powder shouldn’t be consumed, they’re also not meant to be inhaled in large quantities. That said, individuals with asthma should use caution when taking part in the Color Run.

Volunteer signups will be available closer to the date for paid PTA members.
